HOLLYWOOD SHOULD DECLARE BANKRUPTCY AND THEN ALL CONTRACTS WOULD END. THEN ANYONE THAT WANTS TO KEEP THEIR JOB FOR WHAT THE CITY OFFERS IS FREE TO DO THAT. IF ANY ONE DOES NOT LIKE WHAT THE CITY OFFERS, THEY ARE FREE TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT ELSEWHERE.
Sounds like an expedient way to work it out, but will aggravate a lot of people. Anything else you can think of?
LIFE IS NOT FAIR. EVERYONE SHOULD EXPECT A LITTLE AGGRAVATION EVERY NOW AND THEN. I WORKED UNION MOST OF MY LIFE BUT THE PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS ARE BANKRUPTING THIS COUNTRY. WHEN TIMES GOT TOUGH IN MY INDUSTRY, MY UNION RECOGNIZED THE FACT THAT WE HAD TO CONTROL OUR COSTS OR WE WOULD HAVE NO JOBS. WE TOOK CUTS IN PAY AND BENEFITS. WORKING FOR LESS WAS BETTER THAN NOT HAVING A JOB. THE PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS THINK THEY CAN JUST KEEP ASKING FOR HIGHER TAXES TO PAY THEIR SALARIES AND PENSIONS. BUT THE TAXPAYER IS STRAPPED ENOUGH NOW.IT DOES NOT SEEM THAT THE UNION MEMBERS UNDERSTAND THIS BASIC FACT. SO THEY ARE THE ONES THAT NEED TO COMPROMISE. IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THEY WILL NOT, SO MY FIRST COMMENT SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY AVAILABLE OPTION.
